For a stay with family or friends, you will appreciate the comfort of the accommodation and the quiet of the area. Not far from the Marais Poitevin and the Vendée, you will be charmed by this traditional Gâtine house and the countryside around it. Lush and green – a real haven of peace and wellbeing. You have the use of a large sitting room (30m2) with an open fire for winter, a dining room, a well equipped kitchen, a large bathroom with shower and bath and a separate toilet. On the first floor there is a large bedroom with two double beds and a television, a second bedroom with a double bed and a single bed. There are two terraces for making the most of the sunshine at different times of the day, a barbecue, sun loungers, and even a table tennis table. In the garden there are many secluded places where you can curl up with a book or just stretch out and be lazy, out of sight and earshot. Forget the stress of living in town and come to this comfortable gîte full of warmth and conviviality. Recover from the pace of life, relax and treat yourself to local food and wine, and meet local producers. A stay in the country to discover its beauty and the activities of the area The gîte is ideally placed for access to a large range of leisure activities. In fact you are less than an hour from the Marais Poitevin, Puy du Fou or Futuroscope. Interesting towns and villages, like Vouvant, Parthenay, Niort, La Rochelle, Ile de Ré, La Vendée and its beaches are an easy drive away. The Gâtine has something for every member of the family. On foot, by bike or even on horseback you can follow the many paths and trails through the hedged countryside where nature has been looked after and protected. From go-karts to a ride in a gypsy caravan or a flat bottomed boat, tree top adventures or the off-the-wall offering of the Nombril du Monde, from golf to fishing, everybody will find something which tickles their fancy. For the Christmas holidays the fire will be burning ready for your arrival, the gîte decorated and lit, nibbles and chocolates will be there waiting so that you can spend unforgettable moments with your family or friends. There is a strong chance that Father Christmas will call in to see you, so be ready to welcome him. Perhaps you would like to visit the marvellous show “The Mystery of Christmas” which is put on by Puy de Fou, or the Fairy Tale provided by Futuroscope. There are books, DVDs, board games, toys and amusements for very small people. The wood for the two fires is supplied free of charge, it is also possible to hire towels and bedding.
