Description
Awarded ‘Gite de Charme’. Right on the edge of the river Thouet, this 16th century house used to belong to the descendants of Voltaire and is ideally placed for exploring the local area with its huge tourist attractions all within easy reach (Marais Poitevin, Futuroscope and Puy de Fou). The town has all the shopping facilities you need, and three restaurants. The garden is large and enclosed by stone walls, which guarantee you peace and privacy. COMFORT & RELAXATION The Arouet House provides everything. You don’t have to do anything when you arrive, nor when you go. Your beds are made, the towels are ready, and the house is entirely furnished with all the equipment you might need, and we even do the cleaning after you have gone. It has four large bedrooms with ample bedding. Also at your disposal are a cinema room and a bar with dance floor. There is a very well equipped fitness room, plus a Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and a relaxing room. All of these are free for you to use, depending on your personal preferences. The 4mx8m swimming pool is comfortably heated for your enjoyment. You can take advantage of sunny days in our outdoor kitchen, which is fully equipped and has a giant BBQ. There is a raised terrace, decorated in the Zen style, surrounded by trees, which allows you to enjoy family evenings, right in the middle of the garden.The accommodation
